Miscellaneous travel
Since astronomers tend to travel a fair amount, this page is intended to give advice on both travel logistics and travel locations (academic as well as non-academic, for pre/post-conference fun).
One general piece of advice– make sure to keep in mind that in many countries shops are closed or have very limited hours on Sundays (and sometimes even in the evenings), and that museums are very often closed on Mondays.
